Jupiter and the Galilean Moons: a Short Necklace for the Astronomer, 16 Inches

By Style ARThouse

$ 29.95

Here we have the planet Jupiter, surrounded by its four moons that were discovered by Galileo in 1610, Io Europa, Ganymede, and Callisto.  The moons are natural stone, dyed ocean jasper and chalcedony, which Jupiter is made from a synthetic malachite (which is apparently layers of colored sand fused together!).  This intriguing necklace was designed by Ben and Robyn, my son and his girlfriend, who is very interested in astronomy!

The metal parts are silvertone (silver-plated brass) and the chain is made from matte black beads, to represent the darkness of space, and silver-lined seed beads, to represent the stars.  We sell a lot of these!
